March 2 - 9, 2024

Join us for a ritual immersion for women, located in the jungle and beaches of the east coast of Costa Rica. We will spend 7 nights and 6 full days honoring the energies of the four elements and directions and cultivating the return to our own inner wild one. Map It: Where we’ll be

We’ll be on the eastern coast of Costa Rica, near the town of Cahuita. We are just 200 yards away from gorgeous pristine beaches, so you’ll have access to the Atlantic Ocean whenever you want.

After flying into San Jose, we will have a group van shuttle us to Cahuita where we will settle in for the day. If you prefer not to drive the 4ish hours to our lodging, you can book a short tiny airplane from San Jose to Limon airport nearby.

Thoughtful Lodging: Where we’ll stay

Our home away from home will be The Goddess Garden, a beautiful retreat center using sustainable practices, nestled on 14 acres of beautiful jungle. The Goddess Garden is just 200 yards away from the beautiful Atlantic beaches and just a short ride away from the downtown of Cahuita.

With a pool, a spa, and beautiful rooms, it will be a comfortable place for us to lay our heads for the week together.

Here's a peek at your new digs, in the slideshow below:

Circle + Ritual: A Return to the Wilds

Morning circle:

Our morning circles will be held after breakfast. They are an opportunity for us to connect deeply with our bodies and with each other at the start to the day. They will always include some form of movement, a sharing circle, and other experiences that may include meditation, journaling, divination and card-pulling,

The movement style:

Please note that this is not a traditional yoga retreat. While I am trained in yoga, and much of our movement will have a basis in either gentle vinyasa, hatha, or yin yoga, we will not stop there. I will also incorporate energy medicine practices, qi gong, intuitive movement, and dance into our experience. What we do will depend on the theme of the day and the energy of the group.

Ritual:

We will have four to five group rituals to honor each of the elements and the energetics that they hold and represent. These will incorporate any and all of the following: meaningful creative ceremony, communal spellwork, deep visualization and meditative practices or pathworking, guided or intuitive movement, reflection and writing exercises, divination, use of herbal allies, art making or crafting, and sharing or storytelling.

Some themes we may touch upon, relating to the elements:

Earth (North): Our roots, holy gardens, belonging, ancestral communion, grounding, presence, strength
Air (East) : Our loving breath, new beginnings, communication, mental clarity, expression, aliveness, joy
Fire (South) : Our inner flame, power, courage, confidence, lust, aligned + directed action
Water (West) : Our sacred flow, sacred feminine, creation, emotion, death & rebirth

The purpose of ritual is to embody a particular transformation. Whether we are looking to set intentions for manifestation, for healing, for revering an aspect of nature, for protection, or for banishing, we use ritual as a way to “act out” the transformation we are desiring.

Ritual is a very sacred space and I invite you to hold a reverence while in the ritual, including coming to the ritual sober and of clear mind. The nature of group ritual is that we are all holding the energy for each other, and we want our circle to be of deep presence, focus, and integrity.

New to yoga, circles, or ritual?

You don’t need any experience coming into this container, as long as you come with an open mind and open heart. This will be an intimate and transformative space. The nature of women’s circles and rituals is that it can sometimes invite us to look at aspects of our beings that feel emotional. If emotions arise, that is beautiful. That gifts us with an opportunity to let them flow and allow them to alchemize.
